Living in a Land Down Under
I am unbelievably psyched to let everyone know that I am finally taking a trip back to what I consider my second home — Australia.
Beginning in early March, my mates Ken Williams, Brian Danenberg and I will be heading down to where the women glow and the men plunder. It will be a two week excursion that will take us from the gold coast of Brisbane to my former stomping grounds of Melbourne and Geelong. Our plan is to hire a car in Brisbane and make our way down the southeast coast, driving right along the Australian coast line, and stopping at various pubs that cross our paths along the way.
The two weeks should be enough time to take a leisurely stroll through the country, and soak in some of that Aussie spirit that I miss quite a bit in my life. I'm sure we will get into all sorts of strange misadventures, and I plan on documenting them all right here.
About 5 years ago I left Melbourne on a long Qantas flight back to the states. I nearly didn't even get on the flight because I had such an amazing time while I was there, and I knew how much I would miss it. Words can't express how much I am looking forward to going on this trip, traveling the Australian coast, seeing my old city by the bay, reconnecting with a few good friends I had whilst I was living in a land down under, and making some new ones.
In any case, we'll be back in late march, or at least Ken and Brian will.
