Back in Lawrence after a long last few days in Manhattan. Great to be back home.
Reflecting on the events of today. Gave the eulogy at my Mom's funeral today, more difficult than I'd had hoped.
Feeling very humble and thankful for the friends that came down to show their support today. Particularly my friends from Lawrence.
Brain is fried after getting Ellington setup on my laptop thanks to @benspaulding. Finishing out the day at the notorious P.I.G.

My Mother, Helen, passed away yesterday evening a little after 5pm, at KU med center in Kansas City.
And now we rise and we are everywhere.
When the day is done, down to earth must sink the sun. Along with everything that was lost and won.
At KU Med in Kansas City, it's been a rough night.
My Mom's in the hospital and apparently it's pretty serious. I might be in Manhattan for a couple of days.
Going back to Manhattan for tonight to tie up some loose ends. I'll be back In Lawrence by tomorrow early afternoon.
Is it wrong that I am really disappointed that I don't have any work to do for my job this memorial day weekend?

About to eat some Thai Siam take away that we ordered at work. I hope it's good, it's been really talked up by @traviscline.

Living in Lawrence is great. I can go to a programming drinking night, go to an awesome show and end the night talking about Django.
